‘Zines, man!
I wish there were some cool ones around. Maybe I’ll go on a hunting expedition soon to see what can be rounded up in the Queen City. Too bad QZ isn’t around anymore <sniff>. That ‘zine rocked. I’m reading a book on ‘zines (get the irony??) “Whacha Mean, What’s a ‘Zine?” and it’s awesome. I think I may play around with the format, however slightly or greatly, on my Circle City Tales comics. I mean, why the hell not? I’m the publisher. Duh. Of course the slick pro inside of me is constantly nagging and making my left eye twitch … ahh, the constant inner battles of a Libra artist/writer.

Tom is a self-published cartoonist and artist/writer of Circle City Tales. He is a proud member of Comicopia and Sketch Charlotte, and also works as a fashion retail art director in Charlotte, NC. When not drawing you might find Tom on the yoga mat, vegetable gardening, drinking a cold one, or snapping a few Polaroids with his vintage camera ... or just daydreaming about mysterious things that go bump in the night. He is married to yoga instructor Yvonne Brown, and they have two cats, Tabla and Maizie, who actually own the house they live in.
