Thank you so much for your input. I grew up on those '70s cartoons and they've really influenced my work. I feel like I'm bringing my early life influences more to bear on my most recent work. Israfil is the angel of the trumpet on the Day of Judgment, in Islam. Every day and night, 3 times each he gazes into the gates of hell open before him and he cries. His tears seep down to the lost and fallen, offering them some solace in their eternal pain. Israfil has many heads, 4 wings, is tall beyond compare and is hairy head to toe, much in the way of Esau. Tom I was very curious about this painting, what brought you to painting this angel specifically. I have had similar dreams and paint my self as well and they are usually things of this nature. I have me someone that has been helping me with this and she has claimed that his time to come is near. As creepy as it sounds but certain things about the painting you made coincide with so many things I have seen this might seem coincidental but in this world nothing is a coincidence.
